From doing some research on WGSN and general internet searching I have found that over the past 10 years
coffee/ chocolate cafes have become quite popular in the UK as British consumer's tastes are becoming more aware of high end chocolates and so this makes bringing Max Brenner into the UK slightly less daunting, as some people are already aware of the quality etc that the brand will bring.

A report found on WGSN:-
'Martà Guixé, the food design innovator and designer of Camper stores worldwide, has now turned his attention to the world of candy, with a new restaurant in Tokyo.
A high-concept space, the Candy Restaurant aims to formalise the act of eating candy and raise it to the level of high cuisine. Patrons can choose from one of four tasting menus, and each dish is served with instructions on how to eat the candy, such as "make sure you always eat a Fuzzy Peach with the stem side facing your tongue."
Also in Tokyo is the 100% Chocolate Cafe by Salon du Chocolat. Designed by Wonderwall, the cafe offers an array of chocolatey delights, from hot chocolate pepper drinks to sweet sandwiches, classic desserts tiramisu and ice cream, and chocolate-covered amuse bouches.
The space is designed like a chocolate kitchen, with 56 different kinds of chocolate displayed in sleek glass cases. Cocoa-coloured wood tables and chairs are complemented by ceiling panels that resemble huge squares of chocolate. '
I like the idea about Amy's post and also I like the packaging of 100% chocolate...maybe we could use that as an influence.
Also I found a chocolate cafe in Manchester. Maybe Ryan and Tania could visit here during next week?...or something like it to get some other ideas and research. http://www.chocolate-cafe.co.uk/
